How Does Kybella Work?
Kybella is made of a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid. This substance is found naturally in your body and is responsible for breaking down and absorbing dietary fat.
When it’s injected directly into the problem area, deoxycholic acid from Kybella quickly starts breaking down fat cells. Once they’re destroyed, the cells can no longer store fat, and your chin starts becoming more toned and proportionately defined.
Kybella Treatment
Most clients start noticing an improvement in their jawline within about a month of their Kybella treatment. But it can take up to 2-3 months or more for your system to continue breaking down and flushing out all the destroyed fat cells. With each passing day, though, you keep losing that unwanted submental fullness.
Kybella is the first and only FDA-approved nonsurgical treatment that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness – commonly referred to as “double chin.” Kybella can significantly improve chin contouring without the invasiveness and downtime of surgery. Currently, Kybella is FDA-approved only to get rid of fat underneath your chin, although it might be approved for additional uses in the future.
Most clients will require 3-5 treatments for optimal results.
